Privacy notice

When you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we keep three things from your provider profile: your email address, your display name, and your profile picture link. On those paths we never see or store a password - Google or Microsoft handle sign-in entirely, and we keep no sign-in tokens from them either. Signing in with an emailed link keeps the same two things, your address and the name you gave, and no password.

If an administrator set your account up with a password, we store a one-way hash of it - a scrambled form that cannot be turned back into the password. We never store the password itself, never write it to a log, and no part of TailCast can show it to anyone, which is why a forgotten one is replaced rather than looked up.

When you use TailCast, we keep the queries you run: the stock you picked, any event text you typed, and the result we returned. That is your history page, and it is also our audit trail - the record that lets us show exactly what the model said and when.

We also keep a small daily usage counter per account, which enforces the daily query limit. It deletes itself within 48 hours.

That is the whole list. We store nothing else about you.

No analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no selling or sharing of your data. The only cookie TailCast sets is the one that keeps you signed in - it is strictly necessary for the product to work, which is why there is no cookie banner to click.

Event text you type is sent to one place only: TailState's own Azure OpenAI deployment, which classifies it (for example, "earnings news, positive"). It is never sent to any other company. In our server logs your text appears only as a hash - a scrambled fingerprint that cannot be turned back into the text.

Your data is stored in Microsoft Azure in the United Kingdom, which the EU recognizes as providing adequate data protection.

Your account and queries are kept until you delete your account. The daily usage counters expire on their own within 48 hours.

Delete my account permanently removes your account and every query you have run. This is a hard delete: nothing is kept, and it cannot be undone. Signing in again later simply creates a fresh, empty account.
